About the Designer - Lorena Braun Prado

Lorena is a creative Sagittarius, always full of ideas and ready to get her hands dirty. Born in Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, she has always had art and sports as constant parts of her life. Full of energy and focused on learning and expanding her knowledge, yoga has become her most recent area of deep exploration. She holds a degree in Fashion Design from FAAP, and besides living in Santos and São Paulo, Lorena has also lived in Barcelona and took art and fashion courses in New York, where she worked for a stylist at Vogue Brazil.

“I believe that places establish a connection with us. We leave and absorb many experiences, and we transform when we allow ourselves to. Being on my own, I had to make my own decisions and do for myself what no one else could. Gradually, I realized that this responsibility was, in fact, the freedom I needed to understand who I was and where I wanted to go.”

Her experience in New York made her recognize her passion for creation and inspired her with new ideas. Upon returning, Lorena made a small production of bikinis with the prints she developed for her graduation project, which was so successful that it exceeded her expectations. At the same time, she participated in an art exhibition at Santos Arquidecor, worked with architects, developed prints for Blue Gardênia, and worked at By Kamy, among other freelance projects.

"Initially, my idea was to work with textile design for decoration. I still have plans to create a Home line, but I know that all the experiences leading up to the creation of MOHIT taught me valuable lessons. Being close to people who inspired me and believed in what they were doing made all the difference. Understanding who is behind a business gives meaning to what we consume, and that’s why I decided to do the same; I started with the product and the environment that made my heart race: nature, the beach."

While still a fashion design student in São Paulo, Lorena would retreat to her family’s beach house, where, alone, she organized her thoughts and connected with her own rhythm. These escapes from the city helped her observe her inner world as an artist and led her to pursue her own brand.

In 2014, MOHIT was born as a result of the creator's desire to bring women closer to nature, including their bodies, beauty, cycles, and wisdom. Always in an intuitive way, Lorena expresses this through the themes of her collections and hand-drawn prints. Like its creator, MOHIT has undergone transformations in recent years. Initially a swimwear brand, it is now best defined as a lifestyle brand. The experience of entrepreneurship and its challenges have shaped the designer, who recently chose to incorporate new visions into MOHIT, which now reflects the influence of yoga and activewear. With a versatile appeal, MOHIT’s products are carefully created with the intention of accompanying us in all occasions.

“Today, I understand that I deliver more than just a product. Beyond speaking about the quality of the fabric, the finishing, and the attention to detail, those who come into contact with MOHIT feel and receive the frequency I imprint on the products. I believe that the choices we make are aligned with the frequency we vibrate at, and therefore, what we consume and attract is the energy we emanate and receive from the Universe. I understand that the purpose of our experience on Earth is to know ourselves and to assist in the elevation of consciousness. Each of us does this in our own way. Mine is through art. And art has the power to transform. It works on levels of consciousness that we are not aware of. It must be felt.”

The designer has also trained in different energetic healing therapies, which allowed her to understand the transformative power of art. Reflecting her internal expansion process, the creator of MOHIT has also expanded her activities. Lorena began offering individual consultations and created a self-knowledge course intertwined with the creation of art and prints. In the course, she discusses personal development tools, creative processes, the energy of colors, and the creation of art through print rapport.

This past year, the creator of MOHIT felt the desire to transform the brand’s identity, aiming to communicate it more effectively so that people can connect with their purposes, find happiness in their way of life, feel good, and be free. After all, that’s what MOHIT is: happiness or something that attracts – in Hindi.

Life is constant movement. We transform, adapt, renew, and rediscover ourselves. And by knowing who we truly are, we are free and happy. This is our power.
